TPV is a dynamically vulcanized elastomer, typically EPDM rubber dispersed in a PP matrix. It combines the elastic feel and low compression set of thermoset rubber with the melt processability of thermoplastics. TPV offers excellent weatherability, chemical resistance, and heat aging up to 135°C. Key applications include automotive weatherseals, glass run channels, industrial hoses, gaskets, and soft-touch grips. Modification fine-tunes TPV for specific needs: low-fogging grades are formulated for automotive interior seals. Food-contact TPV is used for seals in food processing equipment and soda fountain dispensers. Flame-retardant TPV is specified for mass transit seating and electrical grommets. Overmolding adhesive grades bond to PP, ABS, and polyamides for two-shot handles. UV-stabilized TPV is essential for exterior building seals and marine applications. High-flow TPV enables thin-wall profiles and complex geometries. Oil-resistant TPV grades are used for industrial hose covers. Recyclable TPV replaces EPDM rubber in many applications.link:http://www.custom-plastic-mold.com
