PEEK is a high-performance engineering thermoplastic with exceptional heat resistance (continuous use to 260°C), outstanding chemical resistance, high strength, and excellent creep resistance. It is inherently flame retardant with low smoke generation. Typical applications include aerospace components, oil and gas seals, medical implants, and semiconductor carriers. Modification is common: carbon fiber reinforced PEEK (30%) provides the highest strength and modulus for structural aerospace brackets. Glass fiber reinforced PEEK (30%) offers a cost-performance balance for industrial pump gears and compressor plates. Bearing-grade PEEK (with PTFE and graphite) provides low friction and high wear resistance for dynamic seals. Medical-grade PEEK is biocompatible and radiolucent for spinal fusion devices and dental implants. High-purity PEEK is used in semiconductor handling and chemical processing. PEEK also exists in unfilled grades for extrusion rods and 3D printing filament (e.g., PEEK 3D printing). Laser-markable PEEK supports traceability. PEEK’s hydrolysis resistance makes it ideal for downhole oil tools and steam environments.link:http://www.custom-plastic-mold.com
