Product details
PP is a low-density, semi-crystalline thermoplastic with excellent chemical resistance, good fatigue resistance, and low cost. It is available as homopolymer, random copolymer, or impact copolymer. Common applications include automotive bumpers, battery cases, living hinges, containers, and nonwoven fabrics. Modification greatly expands PP’s performance: talc-filled PP increases stiffness and heat deflection temperature for instrument panels. Glass fiber reinforced PP (20-40%) provides higher strength for large appliance parts and automotive under-hood components. Flame-retardant PP grades are used for electrical components and battery separators. UV-stabilized PP is essential for outdoor furniture, garden tools, and automotive exterior parts. Anti-static and conductive PP grades protect electronics packaging. PP/elastomer blends (TPO) improve low-temperature impact for exterior trim. High-flow PP enables thin-wall injection molding for food containers. Foamed PP (bead foam) is used for energy-absorbing automotive headliners and packaging.
